Google trends did show an ascii art of a 911 plane crash in twin towers as item in “its hot trends”. It was still unclear how this did land up in one of the top trends. It would be nice if google could visit and explain why this had happnened. This is the third time that Google Trends had some problems displaying information.
Google did not comment much about the incident except: “Hot Trends is automatically generated by algorithms and machines that are there to detect hot or breaking queries,” said Gabriel Stricker, a Google spokesman. “We saw lots of queries from a number of different places in a short period of time” for the offending sketch, Mr. Sticker said. He declined whether the queries appeared to be the work of individuals or bots.
Nice find
