Google launches Person Finder for Chile Earthquake Victims

Google has launched a dedicated personal finder service (http://chilepersonfinder.appspot.com/) on Chile earthquake victims. This allows users to search and find the status of their friends and relatives.

google_Personal_Finder

This service gathers information through “I have information about someone” option which allows them to enter the details about a particular person and people can find information about the person they are looking by clicking the “I am looking for someone” option. This site is currently support in English and Spanish

As you can see the site tracks about “18400” records by 7 PM IST. Remember Google launched a personal finder for Haiti earth quake (http://haiticrisis.appspot.com/) and it is now tracking about 58700 records.
