In this dashboard, you can see the total weekly fees collected by Sushiswap over the past year. How have they changed?

Swap Fees – Sushiswap

SushiSwap charges a 0.3% fee for all trading pairs, with liquidity providers receiving 0.25% and SUSHI token holders receiving the remaining 0.05%.SUSHI is better for token holders, whereas liquidity providers are better off with a Uniswap pool making the full 0.3%.

Swap Fees – UniSwap vs. SushiSwap

In UniSwap, fees are tier-based, with rates of 0.05%, 0.3%, and 1%. These fees represent the amount of risk that liquidity providers are willing to take, depending on the volatility of their pools.The Uniswap protocol uses a proportional fee split among all existing liquidity providers to divide the fees between stablecoin pairs and popular pairs such as ETH/USDT.

As an alternative, SushiSwap charges a 0.3% fee for all trading pairs, of which liquidity providers receive 0.25% and SUSHI token holders receive 0.05%.

We can see within the following graph the weekly swap volume in USD as well as the transactions, in addition to the weekly fees collected throughout the year. We can also see the fees collected by liquidity providers and token holders on a weekly basis.Additionally, we can view the swapped amount in USD and the transactions of top 5 pools and the Fees collected by top 5 pools.

Fees and Volume collected by Sushiswap on May 17th 2021 are high. The LP fees collected on May 17th 2021 were 319.69M, and the Token Holders fees collected were 63.94M. After May, Sushiswap didn’t collect many fees until October.That means the fees collected are in decreasing trend until October. During May 2021 – October 2021, sushiswap LP and token holders’ fees decreased, even though the transactions and swapped amount was not much lower.

Based on the Top 5 Pools Weekly Fees,

  • The USDC_WETH and WETH-USDT Pools will maintain consistency in collecting LP and Token Holder fees starting in February 2021.
  • We did not see DAI-WETH in the Top 5 Pools list after Oct25,2021.
  • The OHM-DAI pool will be visible under the Top 5 Pools list after Sep 13,2021.
  • As of October 4, 2021, a pool named SPELL-WETH is visible under the Top 5 pools category.
