To everyone’s surprise Google today released Android 2.2 FroYo at http://source.android.com/. This was announced in a blog post on Google Blog post. So developers and handset makers get access to Android 2.2 now. What does this mean to you and me?
If you are using any of the Android 2.1 or earlier mobile devices, soon you will be able to upgrade it to Android 2.2 and enjoy the wealth of great new features. When exactly the upgrade will be available? It depends on how fast your handset maker wants to bring it to you.
Lets look at what is hot in the new version:
- Flash support
- Beautiful Galleries
- Very useful camera changes
- Very fast overall performance
