The world’s cheapest car Tata Nano, dubbed as the Rs 1 lakh wonder of India, will cost 3% to 5% more for new customers with Tata Motors deciding to pass on the increase in input costs with immediate effect. Based on ex-showroom price of Delhi, Nano cost will increase from anywhere between Rs 3,700 to Rs 6,894.
The new price will be applicable for the next round of bookings which will be accepted by Tata Motors sometime later in this year or early next year. The 1,00,000+ customers who already booked and waiting for the car will be getting the car based on the old price.
