The smart phones war is getting hotter, especially between iPhone and Android. Each one is trying to beat the other with awesome features. Today Google introduced “Voice Action” for Android 2.2 phones that lets you to do things on your phone by just talking – ask your phone to send text to your friend, it does it by interpreting your voice. Or even load a website,  make a call or locate a place on Google maps and many more by just talking. No need to touch the phone.

And here’s the demo:

That’s cool. With Voice Action feature, your Android acts as a personal assistant. If Android speech recognition works accurately with accents of Asians, Europeans along with Americans, this is going to be coolest feature of Android phones.

Apple iPhone too have a similar feature built into the OS since 3GS and the third party  Siri application which is dubbed personal digital assistant of iPhones. But the brilliant feature of Google Voice Action app beats iPhone in voice commands at least for now.
