JNTU Students To Get Microsoft Software Free

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University(JNTU), Hyderabad, India has reached an agreement with Microsoft to be part of Microsoft DreamSpark program. With this agreement around 30,000 students who are enrolled with the university are eligible to get free software from Microsoft.

Hold on, this does not mean that these students are going to get each and every software from Microsoft for free of cost. Under the DreamSpark program Microsoft's free software includes only development and designer tools like Visual Studio, SQL Server, Windows Server, Expression Studio, Robotics Development Studio, etc. So no free copies of Office or Windows 7!!

Anyways, it's a nice move by Microsoft to give one of best development tools for free of cost to students. This encourages students to learn software development, especially .net based application development, with the help of cutting edge tools. 1. :) For the the outer world, JNTU (Hyd) is one of preferred institutes! But ask someone who studied under it.

I see it the other way. Microsoft has got a chance to make the future generations get used *Microsoft* technologies and products and hence the future demands. It’s just the starting!
